According to the recent satellite survey it has been found that about 20 sq km of ice from the "Ward Hunt shelf" has detached from the Ellesmere Island, Canada.
Since 2005, the time when one of the biggest ice sheds in that region was broken, since then it was thought to be one of the biggest ice sheds of that region.
